Free community low vision service
There are a handful of practices in Lanarkshire who provide this service of which we are one. In the unfortunate event that you have a severe loss of vision due to some underlying pathology then we provide low vision aids to be used with spectacles.
These are provided by ourselves at no cost to the patient on loan from NHS Lanarkshire.
The assessment involves a visit either in store or at home to provide a telescope or magnifier to help with day to day tasks such as watching TV, reading mail, seeing prices or just simply the tv paper.
